NICK AND O'SHAYA' WELCOME SON, KRISTOPHER LLOYD

The blues world just got a little brighter with the arrival of its newest member—Kristopher Lloyd Schnebelen. Born to proud parents Nick Schnebelen and O’Shaya' Adams, this baby boy carries a name rich in love, legacy, and deep family roots. Kristopher’s name is a tribute to Nick’s late brother, Kris Schnebelen, a beloved drummer and integral part of their family’s musical history.

For those who have followed Nick’s journey, the Schnebelen name has long been synonymous with blues excellence. From his days with Trampled Under Foot to his powerhouse solo career, Nick has always honored his family’s influence, and now, that tradition continues in the most personal way possible—through his son. Naming Kristopher after his brother Kris is a poignant reminder of the deep bonds that tie family and music together.

Kris Schnebelen was not only Nick’s brother but also his bandmate and lifelong friend. As the drummer for Trampled Under Foot, Kris brought passion, drive, and an unmistakable groove to the band’s sound. His passing in 2021 was a devastating loss to the blues community and to those who knew him personally. By naming his son Kristopher Lloyd, Nick ensures that Kris’s spirit lives on, not just in music but in the next generation of the Schnebelen family.

O’Shaya, Nick’s partner, has been a constant source of love and support, sharing in the highs and lows of life on the road and at home. Now, as they step into this new chapter of parenthood together, they do so with full hearts and the joy that comes with welcoming a child into the world.

For Nick, this moment marks a new kind of blues journey. His music has always been a reflection of life’s raw emotions—love, loss, triumph, and hardship. While he is no stranger to fatherhood, adding his son, Kristopher, to his family adds another layer of depth to his storytelling, bringing with it a new sense of purpose and inspiration. Fans can expect that this profound life change will undoubtedly influence his music in ways that are heartfelt and powerful.

As baby “K” grows, he will be surrounded by music, love, and the stories of those who came before him. The blues is more than just a genre for the Schnebelen family—it’s a way of life, a legacy passed down through generations. Whether he picks up a guitar, a drumstick, or simply carries the spirit of his father and uncle in his heart, Kristopher is already part of something special.

Congratulations to Nick and O’Shaya Adams on the birth of their beautiful son! The blues family celebrates with you, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for little Kristopher Lloyd.
